"An artist inspired by the mysterious and chaotic things"

I. How does this work?

How does all this art making work? Basically as any thing in this world, firstly you find your motivation and then start your work. Now each work, not only this art making, has a plan within it that is a structure to each result that is shown from the work. My own personal plan on this is pretty simple, but I'll get in to it in a future chapter on this blog. For the rest of this chapter I'll just introduce you to the whole "structure" that is hidden behind every art that I made and uploaded to my Redbubble shop.

Every design that is on my shop came from a simple inspiration that I had at that moment, and made no hesitiation to make it a reality. That is in my personal opinion the most important thing to being someone that dwells in the art circles and makes art period. Because the art itself should not be caused by your own or someone else's censorship, it should be your own personal, raw thoughts and feelings that you had at that moment. The moment you put censorship to the artwork is when you remove the artistant's spirit from it and make it just a picture on the Internet. Everything we do has it's own reasons and those reasons should be heard and listened to and not silenced by you or someone else.

II. More Details

Regarding the plan that is behind pretty much every piece of my own art, I'll go into details of it right now. Firstly, you need to find a phrase or a word that you wish to make a design out of.

For one word designs, first find out if the number of letters in it are odd or even. If it's an even number of words, you split the word in half, each half having the same amount of letters. Now, it's time for you to think of a design you want to make and apply it to the first half of the word. The design itself can be of any kind, but in this genre that I'm in each art has it's "chaotic" and rough style to it. There are no rules and actually shouldn't be regarding any kind of art you are making.

Following that, the rules of how each letter should look like are basically non-existant, they could follow the shapes of the letters and how they look just so that the words could be read but that is not necessary.

When you have found and made the basic design of how the first half of the word should look like you then detail it a whole bunch. In my case, each case of detailing is done to make every letter look very chaotic and distorted by making each edge sharper and pointier. Now, the amount of details is totally dependant on you, you can make it look really clean and simple but also you could make it look really distorted and almost impossible to read.

After finishing up on all the details and making the first half of the word look like you wanted, then you copy it all and paste it next to it. Placing it in the best position for the whole word to be even. When it is placed on the perfect position, the opacitiy is then take to really low, basically enough that it could be read but also enough that you could draw over it. So yeah, the next step is copying the other half of the word to fit the shape of the first half and that way making it completely even to it.

After copying it fully, you should result with mostly complete artwork. Only things left to do is alter a few details and improve a few bits and that's it.

But when it comes to the phrases, the process it practically the same, but now you first have to find the main word and then add all the other words around it as you wish. Each word is made as it has been described previously but also keeping in mind that every word should be connected in some way to the main word and finally make one whole unit, if you wish. The final artwork should look connected and in the same style to make it as one complete artwork.

III. Programs & Equipment

Although my start of drawing that art was Adobe Photoshop, and don't get me wrong it is a good start where you can find your own style and get some bearing on how you should make each art and it's process. That is only if you have more experience with Photoshop than with any other program where you can do that. Now, either if you are starting on Photoshop or just want to skip that phase you should focus on programs design for actual vector image drawing like Adobe Illustartor, Inkscape, Vector, Sketch, etc. Those programs are designed for drawing and the drawing are not sized in pixels like other programs are made to do. Each path/drawing is sized in vectors which allow you to zoom in as much as you want and you will never see any pixels or square that could be the structure of the drawings. The Internet is filled with information about that specific topic so if you are interested in how that actually works you are able to find that out, I'm not going to go into more details about it.

All you need to know is, at the end you should aspire to learn and maximize your knowledge on vector graphic programs, and there are many that are free and perfectly enough and you don't need to spend money to learn that skill.

Best Free Vector Graphic Softwares:
- Inkscape
- Vectr
- CorelDraw
- Vectornator

IV. Artwork Monetization

Now, when it comes to monetizing your own art that you make is possible, but it's difficulty varies on your own knowledge about marketing and advertising it. There are always thousands people that want to have that art for themselves in their homes, on their clothes, on their stuff overall. So that part is easy, the difficult part is finding them and showing them what you have.

Honestly, I am still learning on how to properly market your own art and make some profit of them, so take my point of view and thoughts with a grain of salt. From what I've learned so far is that the key to partial success is to stay consistent, keep making new stuff, market them on social media and try and make opportunities for yourself. Never wait for the opportunity to come to you.

Websites to share your art as products:

Those are the ones that I had the most experience with, Redbubble being the one I have the most. Redbubble is one of the most simplest ways to get into this area of trade. All you are required to do is make an account to sell with, add a few information about your payments and accounts, but nothing out of the ordinary. The process of uploading art to that site is also pretty straight forward, all you need to do is upload the art file and add a few information about the art itself and then you can edit all the products that are available. From resizing, removing, adding, changing colors, etc. All the printing, shipping and even the your whole store is on that site, so they responsible for the whole process. If that is something that poses no problem to you, then Redbubble is something for you.

But when it comes to the Printful and Printify, they are only required to print the art on the products and ship them, while you are required to have a shop from some other source, either being a paid service from someone else or you making your own site with the store on it. There you have so much more responsibilities from making sure that all the information you give people is correct to paying your fees on the service that hosts your shop if you have to. That is way the Etsy is there in the list. Etsy was the site that allowed me to open up a shop with my products linked with the printify site that is responsible for all the printing and shipping, as said before. But it should be known that Etsy is not completely free, it requires a small fee for each product that you have on your store to be paid each month.

So, selling your own art is possible and you could make some money off of it, but it all depends on you and how much you learn/know about all that stuff. From marketing to keeping your shop up-to-date.

V. Final Thoughts

This whole thing is basically as anything just a process of learning. From learning how to make that art to learning how to market it properly. I know I still have a lot to learn about and my journey hasn't even started properly. Also take a look at my gallery and let me know why you'd want to buy them. I have around 70 different design with multiple colors and the number is just gonna increase in time. No time to stop till I get to my goal!
